Network for business and sustainability
With roots in the Mission Cities project, and together with the University of Stavanger (UiS), the City of Stavanger has launched the Network for Business and Sustainability.
Why are we doing this?
💬 We want to create a meeting place for sustainability professionals, and we hope this will be the beginning of a movement. And there is room for more. Scroll down the page to find the contact information for Even, Frida, and Anna.
💡 As public institutions, we are non-commercial actors, which makes us ideal facilitators.
🌱 To increase competence and share experiences. Sustainability work is complex and far-reaching, and constantly changing due to new legislation and regulations. This makes it a perfect topic for ongoing discussion.
🎯 A focus on current challenges and solutions: the network will concentrate on issues that exist today, and on tools and solutions that can be used today. This is a network focused on sustainability work as it looks here and now.
🤝 Collaboration: sustainability work is something all companies share, and the goals are the same — there is nothing to lose by collaborating. Collaboration is also one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and we want to support this. The City of Stavanger also aims to become climate neutral by 2030, and collaboration is essential to succeed.
🙋 Participant-driven: the participants will decide the themes and areas of focus. We see the participants as co-organisers and essential for creating meaningful gatherings.
