We are celebrating Stavanger and the cathedral’s 900th anniversary, and everyone is invited to join the festivities!
The brand new historical exhibition Mitt Stavanger is portraying the 900 year long history of Stavanger, from 1125 through to our current time, and maybe even hinting towards the future?
The theme Past is about reflecting on the past, to better understad the present. What came first: the city or the cathedral? What role did the past play in shaping who we are today?
The theme Present is about where we are now. The interplay between city and nature, between urban and rural, between Stavanger and the rest of the world. Here, Pedersgata is a key project.
The theme Future is about looking ahead. This theme will focus on the Ullandhaug area as a symbol of the knowledge and innovation hubs that will lead the transition.
