Stavanger to launch city edition of Monopoly

A collaboration has been established with several key partners: Stavanger Sentrum, Region Stavanger, Smedvig, Forus Næringspark, and Lyse.

Exactly which locations will be featured on the board remains a secret for now. However, residents will have the chance to get involved: the people of Stavanger will be invited to vote and help decide one of the most exclusive spots on the board.

- The Stavanger Monopoly will serve as a celebration of our city – a fun and interactive way to showcase Stavanger’s unique character, attractions, and strengths. At the same time, it acts as a tool for promoting Stavanger. We are delighted to see the strong engagement and excitement already building around the project. Interest from both local stakeholders and the wider community confirms what we know to be true: Stavanger is a city people are proud of and eager to see represented in new and creative ways, says Anne Woie, head of Department of Economic Development and International Affairs.

The game will be produced by Winning Moves, the company behind many Monopoly city editions worldwide, and launched late autumn 2026.
