Sharing is caring
Yup, the money must benefit more than your own company or organisation, it has to benefit a greater number of people. This means that not one individual company can receive funding for pure operations or investment. The initiative must be of importance to more parties and you as an individual company/organisation must be applying on behalf of a greater amount of companies/people. See the Act relating to State Aid (“Lov om offentlig støtte”) and Article 61 of the EEA Agreement.
Examples include initiatives that contribute to innovation and new establishments in the form of an event, the establishment of a network or cluster, or projects that survey future needs for expertise in cooperation with the business community.
We work better as a team
Typically, an initiative will not receive full financing from the City of Stavanger. We would rather be a part of a bigger team on the financial side, and our contribution often helps initiatives bring more parties into a joint effort.
Greatest competitiveness and ability to create value City of Stavanger
The initiative must somehow support our primary goal: Stavanger has the greatest competitiveness and value creation.
Stavanger is leading the green transition
The City of Stavanger supports the development and establishment of projects that can contribute to transitions in the private sector and create new workplaces. In addition, the initiative must fit into one or more of our four strategic focus areas:
