Assult center

In short

  • The assult center provide help if you have been sexually abused.

    The assult center is open 24/7

    The assult center is placed at the emergency room, and offers examination and threatment of men and woman over 14 years who have been victims of sexual abuse.

    A doctor and a nurse who specializes in sexual abuse is always present during the day. At night, and in weekends, a nurse will call in personell with expertise on the subject.

    The service is free of charge.

    If the insident have happend recently: Don't shower, eat or drink before you arrive the center. If you have already eaten or showered, we recomend you to come anyway.

    The assault center provides

    • Care, and someone to talk to in safe surroundings
    • Eximination to check for infections and pragnacy 
    • Eximination to gather evidance if you want to report the insident to the police.
    • If you want to: Help to report the insident to the police
    • Help to contact free legal advise
    • Help, even though the insident happend some time ago.
    • Crisis conceling.
    • The personell at the assult center has confidentiality. 
    • You deside what kind of threatment you want to recive. We resepct your choices. 

    The city of Stavanger runs the assult center.
