Come for work. Stay for life.
Young expats move to Stavanger for various reasons. How do they build a new everyday life here? We spoke to three young people who shared why Stavanger now feels like home.
Each of them has found something unique: a place that offers both daily adventure and a true sense of belonging. Meet Tania, Marcelo and Santiago.
Tania
Tania learned how to enjoy life when she moved to Stavanger. She loves strolling through the charming streets and recharging at the stunning Jæren beaches. Everything is so accessible! Originally from Spain, she now works as a product developer at Lærdal Medical.
Marcelo
Marcelo fell in love with the cultural life of Stavanger. He found a place where art and design are part of everyday living. Moving from Brazil, he made his passion his profession as a designer at Studio Oker.
Santiago
In Stavanger, everything is within easy reach. Santiago has a job in the city center and hits the mountain bike trails after work. There is so much to explore! He moved from Ecuador and now enjoys motivating others as a division manager at SLB.
